Coronas y puentes
Prótesis fija
Descripción del servicio
Aesthetic reconstruction of damaged or missing teeth, restoring their chewing function. Crowns and most bridges are prostheses that are placed permanently. Unlike removable dentures, which can be taken out and cleaned daily, fixed crowns and bridges are cemented onto existing teeth or implants — and can only be removed by a dentist. How Do Crowns Work? A crown is used to completely cover or “cap” a damaged tooth. It can also be used to improve a tooth’s appearance, shape, or alignment. A crown can also be placed on top of a dental implant to recreate the shape and function of a natural tooth. Porcelain or ceramic crowns can be matched to the color of your natural teeth. Other materials include gold, metal alloys, acrylic, and ceramic. These metal alloys are generally stronger than porcelain and are often recommended for back teeth. Sometimes, porcelain is fused to the outside of a metal crown to provide both strength and a pleasing appearance.
